The two most important diseases are:

Human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME);
Human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE).

Ehrlichia chaffeensis bacteria cause HME. While HGE disease is caused by the bacterium Anaplasma phagocytophilum.

How common is anaplasmosis?

What are the signs and symptoms of anaplasmosis?

After you get bitten, the symptoms of this disease generally appear only 1 or 2 weeks later. What are my treatment options for anaplasmosis?
